In the book of Nehemiah in the Word of God, we find the courageous account of a man who, in challenging times and under tremendous pressure, rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. The story begins with the people of Israel in total chaos. Most of them, including Nehemiah, are in exile; the walls of Jerusalem are broken down; the gates are burned; and those who escaped are in great distress and reproach.
It is the principles of this scenario that the Lord stirred in my heart in March 2008. So often we hear friends and family talk about the dire situation in South Africa and how things have become so bad that it is an effort to continue living here. We motivate our children to seek their fortune elsewhere in the world, and even consider moving ourselves to Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada, or anywhere else we can escape to.
South Africa is in a similar state to that of Jerusalem at the time, with this difference, that our enemies are called crime, sexual immorality, abuse, racism and all other destructive things the devil can conjure up. |

In his desperate situation, Nehemiah breaks before God and repents the sins of his own family and those of the children of Israel. Nehemiah reminds God of His promise that if the people would turn to Him, He would bring them back to the place of dwelling that He had chosen for them. With that, go His peace, blessing and abundance. |

God placed every person who is in South Africa here for His purposes, regardless of your race, beliefs, etc. He wants us to turn back, and we have started tasting revival through Mighty Men and many other revival efforts through the church in South Africa. In line with this, I believe the Lord calls us to brokenness before Him and that we stand in the gap for the dire situation in which we may find ourselves. |

As Nehemiah found favour and started the restoration of the walls of Jerusalem, so Project Firecloud aims to restore the spiritual walls of South Africa, step-by-step, and proclaim God’s blessing and favour over this country and her people. As Nehemiah restored with physical building tools in the one hand and a weapon in the other, so Firecloud intends to walk with spiritual restoration tools and weapons. |

In Jesus we have authority to stand against the things referred to above and to bless and proclaim His Blood over South Africa. In March and April over 100 men will be part of an initiative to walk the roads closest to the outside borders of South Africa. This is an act of obedience and faith on behalf of the people of this country, to turn back to our King, the Hope of Nations! |
